ExCeL London will be host to more than 200 companies presenting their latest products and innovations at Infrarail 2016.
ExCeL London is the venue for this year’s Infrarail show, which will be opened by Claire Perry MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Transport.
The event will take place from 12-14 April, the event focusing on the systems, equipment and skills needed for building, managing and maintaining all elements of the railway’s fixed assets.
After record-breaking rises in passenger numbers, Britain’s railways are the subject of the most extensive investment programme in recent years, with a government focus on the long-term development of the country’s infrastructure.
Companies are now preparing to present their latest products and innovations.
Companies that are active in the industries key sectors such as civils, track construction and maintenance, signalling, communications, electrification and station equipment will come together at the event, along with specialists in consultancy, recruitment and training, occupational health and security.
A total of 75 exhibitors will be attending Infrarail for the first time, giving them the opportunity to introduce new products and ideas to the rail market.
The event will see keynote speeches made by leading figures shaping the future of the UK rail sector, industry seminars, project briefings and discussion forums.
Crossrail and HS2 Ltd also feature in an impressive list of Infrarail show partners that includes Network Rail, London Underground, the Rail Supply Group, the Railway Industry Association, the Rail Alliance and UK Trade & Investment.
This will be the first time that ExCeL has hosted Infrarail, sharing the venue with the Civil & Technology Exhibition – CITE 2016. Open to Infrarail visitors, this will showcase many of the civil’s products and services needed for transport projects, utilities and communications networks, while the accompanying conference programme and seminars will feature topics of possible interest to attendees from the rail sector.
CITE was first staged alongside Infrarail in 2014, when the combined event attracted more than 6,600 managers, engineers and industry specialists.
