FTA everywoman Transport and Logistics Award 2016 open for nominations

The FTA everywoman Transport and Logistics Awards has announced the opening of the nomination process for the 2016 awards.

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) is once again the title partner of the awards, which seek out inspirational women and rising stars within the logistics sector. They are designed to recognise success and acknowledge achievements of women.

FTA has been the title partner of the awards for three years, and have seen increases in the level of nominations for the awards. They hope that the 2016 awards will put women in the spotlight and recognise the important roles that they place within logistics, by celebrating the hard work that has been done.

The awards also hope to improve the image of the industry, and show that the development and support of females is taken seriously.

Maxine Benson MBE, Co-founder of everywoman, commented: “The logistics industry is growing at a phenomenal rate, and needs more workers to be attracted to the fast-paced, diverse and exciting environment it offers.  These awards are all about championing the women who are already succeeding, enjoying rapid career progression, job satisfaction and new challenges every day.  These are the role models who can change the public image of the industry and in doing so ensure more smart, ambition women bring their talents to it.”

The categories of awards are Rising Star of the Year; Driver of the Year; The Warehousing Award; Innovation and Sustainability; Team Leader of the Year; Leader of the Year; and Industry Champion Award.

The FTA everywoman in Transport and Logistic Awards are free to enter and will be open until 1st of February 2016.

The Awards ceremony will take place on 26 May 2016 at The London Hilton, Park Lane, London.
