Planning application to be submitted for vital homes in Rosewell

Hamilton based developer Banks Property expects to submit a planning application for an exciting new development in Midlothian next year.

The development is in the picturesque village of Rosewell, situated in the Midlothian countryside on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

The proposal follows the successful building of 63 new homes in Roselea, realised through a partnership between Banks Property and Miller Homes.

The housing development which will occupy 12.6 acres, known as the Doctors Field, will comprise of 100 much needed, new homes in a sustainable expansion of Rosewell village. The houses are expected to range from 3 to 5 bedroom family homes that will be affordable for new house owners.

Banks Property are hoping to begin construction in late 2016, subject to planning permission. There is a strong demand for new homes in the area with a significant housing shortfall.

The local community will get the opportunity to see the plans as soon as the details are finalised at an exhibition that will be held in the village to showcase the development.
